Tylenol

Logo / Branding / Packaging

As a designer at Johnson & Johnson, I played an instrumental role in various rebranding and packaging design efforts for the company's pain relief products, including Tylenol, Precise heat patch, Tylenol Advanced Ibuprofen-based pain relief creams.

In the Tylenol rebranding project, I successfully designed a new logo and several packaging concepts that balanced the product's efficacy with a tone of comfort and care. The redesigned logo features softened edges and a contemporary style, while the packaging incorporates soothing color gradients and clear messaging. These designs not only aligned with Tylenol's mission to promote health and well-being but also helped establish a sense of trust and reassurance among consumers.

For the Precise heat patch, I created a unique trapezoid-shaped package that mirrored the product's shape and incorporated informative icons to provide a functional and visually appealing design that integrated seamlessly with the brand's architecture.

In the Tylenol Brazil project, I reimagined traditional blister packaging by transforming it into a card that consumers could use to build their own structures. This emotional and playful approach differentiated the product from competitors and fostered a deeper connection with consumers.

While working on the Tylenol China redesign, I collaborated with my colleagues to develop a packaging system that maintained the familiar Tylenol logo and arc while incorporating illustrations that were universally understood. This design was applied across four sub-brands, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing presentation that resonated with the target market.

Lastly, in the development of new Ibuprofen-based pain relief creams, my team and I designed distinct primary and secondary graphics for the two brands, focusing on color schemes and customized typography to create compelling visual identities that would stand out on store shelves.

In each of these projects, my aim was to design packaging that not only captured the essence of the brand but also engaged consumers in a unique and memorable way.
